Peter's Teddy Bear

The artists’ studios at Hackney Wick were staging an open weekend and I was curious to see what was going on. I think I was the oldest person there, outnumbered by all the hipsters.

The artists themselves were very friendly and open and happy to  discuss their work. It was all fresh and not derivative. So many innovative ideas.

Peter Jones paints portraits of soft toys. You can see the series of monkeys behind him. I caught him having a chat with one of his models. 

A couple more in extras. The blanket is hand stitched pieces from other vintage fabrics. Isn't it a beautiful work of art?
