Hip Hip

The proclamation in Edinburgh of King Charles III as the new monarch took place today. Once the proclamation had been read there were three hip hip hoorays led by the Lord Lyon; a “God Save the King” cry and the national anthem with the new words. A few voices shouted protest calling for a republic but in the vocal minority.
