Appreciating Freedom, Part One

On This Day In History
1851: The Christiana Riot

Quote Of The Day
"Resistance to law is always an offence against the peace of society. A party of whites attempted to arrest several negroes, claiming them as their property, under a law of the United States."
(Henry Jarvis Raymond, New York Times Editor)

Most of us are lucky enough to be free citizens (or subjects), not slaves or prisoners, yet many of us spend 95% of our lives indoors. That's insane! The world is far more splendid in real life than it is on a monitor. Be like these people that I saw on my 22 kilometer run this morning, then maybe you will be able to look like Dean Karanazes when you reach 60; all you need to do is eat healthy, exercise regularly and commune with nature.

"I feel beneath the white, there is a redskin
Suffering,
From centuries of taming."

"Wild, go wild in the country!"
