Pre birthday delights

A very big day today!It's almost my birthday (but not quite) but we decided to celebrate it today as Esme would be with us. I was astonished to be presented with freshly baked muffins and lit candles at 8am! Esme had been up at 6am and muffin baking had proceeded shortly afterwards! They tasted magnificent! 
Not long after we were off to town for a play at the extremely creative and child friendly playground where the energy was boundless! We then  treated ourselves to coffee and more cakes at the Dangerous Kitchen! By the time we got to the beach to collect some shells, energy levels had dropped and the wind got up so we headed home.  A spot of lunch and we were revived and off to the garden. Here we are inside the most enormous avacado tree - perfect for a small person to climb. The avos are looking promising too. 
A quickplay in the sandpit, a small bounce on the trampoline and then up to our place where HImself had made macaroni cheese - very clean plates all round. Esme was carried off for her bath at 6pm - we could all have happily followed. It must be nearly bedtime surely!
