Out on the wiley, windy moors

After a morning tidying up and mowing the lawn, this afternoon I took Arwen to Haltwhistle SureStart centre, where they have a rather lovely sensory room. Four other mummies and babies joined us there. The journey from here is a gorgeous drive that takes you over the moor; particularly pretty on a windswept, sunny day like today. Not that it was sunny all day - there were a few downpours - but it was pleasant enough between times. There are still a few pockets of snow visible on the higher hills, which is unusual for May Day even here in the wilds of Northumberland.
