Last Night in La Herradura

This is our view of the town as we walk down from our apartment each night. We came back to one of our favourite restaurants for our last meal and we weren’t disappointed. They’re very friendly here and the food is fantastic.
It was very hot today. We dipped in and out of the sun and flicked the news on and off to keep up with the events happening at home. I’ve never been homesick before but with everything happening across the UK in the wake of the Queen’s death, I feel like I would rather be there than here. I clicked on the ‘live view’ of our doorbell at
midday to hear bells ringing in St Mary’s and we watched The King address the nation at 6 o’clock. It still sounds so odd to say ‘The King’.
I’m hoping for a straight forward journey home tomorrow. Poppy is going to an open day at Bristol Uni so we won’t see her until late tomorrow night.
