Days End

We are shocked and saddened by the news today of the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Although she had lived a long life, it still came as a shock when her death was announced this afternoon. We’ve managed to find a British news Chanel and have been following the news all afternoon although we did have to go out and find somewhere to have dinner tonight.
It feels so surreal, especially as we are in a foreign country I think. They definitely don’t like us much here. We get overlooked in bars and restaurants. We got up and left the first place we visited tonight after they kept ignoring us. The apartment is lovely and the views are beautiful but I wouldn’t rush back to Spain.
