Purple…

Today it’s rained almost all day. The fencing work was rained off at midday.

Then at lunchtime the news of The Queen’s health giving cause for anxiety. Her family were travelling to Balmoral. A situation and words I remember well when our mother was failing fast.

And then the news that our queen has died. Such sad news. And words fail and tears fall. A family grieving and a huge loss for our country and the world. For so many, she has always been there. So many gratefuls for every example she set, for every joy she brought, for every one of her seventy year reign.

We pray for her family and thank God for her. The Queen spoke often of her personal faith in God and now she is with Him. Difficult days and massive changes ahead of them, and for the country.
