Long Live the King

Am actually quite devastated.

I had an undertoad as soon as I heard the news Bulletin today.. to be honest I was a bit worried on Tuesday when she was pictured with the New PM; those marks on her hands were ominous.

But how to go from that smiling relaxed face to gone in two days? I can’t comprehend.

I think she was just delighted to have seen him off; and was able to stop once she’d done that. I will blame him forever.

Si and I had the utter privilege of meeting HM way back in 1988 - my first back blipped.

It was an amazing experience. I still Remember the whole day … even the spider in the bath and the pint of milk over myself, and the tub of ice cream afterwards.

I’m delighted to be able to say; I met Queen Elizabeth and didn’t just curtesy and smile; I broke protocol and spoke to her and she smiled too. (Don’t ever try to tell a reigning sovereign who their daughter is… they do know; you know)

I tweeted early today; ‘what ever happens today; she lived and loved her best life.’

And it’s true.

She was an example of Service and Commitment to us all

Rest in peace Your Majesty, you above all, deserve it.
