Spliss Splash i was taking a bath

After the stress and trauma of a Wither’s visit we headed for the hotel to recover.

Was very lovely just outside Stratford and we were taken up past the well (which I did not photograph) and up a flight of stairs…. Followed by …. Another flight of stairs…. And then a door followed by a step over a beam …

And into ‘the Shakespeare Suite’. Ooh it was a bit lovely but also a bit uneven and low beamy.

But hey it was like 600 years old. You go with it.

We had a lovely meal and took advantage of the amazing English weather and sat outside ..

Today we got up and I played in the bath and then we went to visit Stratford upon Avon.

Or as we liked to call it ‘new new Delhi’ Today was a celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, and many many Hindi families had gathered on the banks of the Avon to wash Ganesh - technically they are dunking him in the water in a symbol of life cycle … I apologise profusely if I haven’t gotten this correct but we were taking information from different groups of Hindi.

Men took themselves aboard the barges.. while the woman dressed beautifully and brightly stood on the bank and sung and celebrated Ganesh while the men chanted and threw petals in the river and immersed Ganesh

It was quite amazing…

We had a wee boat trip… and the. Mistakenly a trip on the big wheel… a wander around to gaze at all aspects of Shakespeare dotted around the place.

I was exhausted.

By three we went to The car and commenced our drive to new stop!
