Sad Day

What a momentous day it has been. At lunchtime it was announced that  senior members of the  Royal family were making their way quickly to Balmoral because the Queen's doctors had become very concerned for her health. At 6.30pm I was listening to  radio 4  while getting our supper ready when her death was announced. It's one  of those days when we''ll all remember where we were when we heard the news that such a tremendous  life had ended. It's sad but surely where, and how, she would have wished to die.
