In Between

Another sunny and hot day. I worked for most of it, but also met my mother and carers for lunch at a restaurant. After sitting down near a window, we had to get up again and move to a shaded table - it was just too hot for the restaurant‘s AC to cope.

For the last hour or so, we were surrounded by thunderstorms. But the chain of Taunus hills just west of us did its usual cloud dividing trick, where every mass of clouds coming in from the west gets split up neatly. I could see and hear the rain and thunder to the north, and another storm moving past us just south of the Rhine.

I can’t believe I‘m now off to water the garden, while it just poured down all around us, but we didn’t get a single drop of rain.
