Sunflower (Day 2677)
The day started with the usual Sunday morning trip to Tesco, and once the shopping was all unpacked at home, my beautiful wife zoomed off to Harray to collect a trailer load of bales of haylage for the horses. We unloaded the trailer at the yard and then zoomed back to Harray to collect another load.
We stopped off at home for lunch, then a wander with Sigyn before heading through to Stromness to unload just as the rain started. The rain got heavier as we checked on the horses and put out some hay. HV took pity on the herd and gave them all a bucket of feed. George, being a greedy sod, tucked into his far too enthusiastically and got it stuck in his throat. That meant HV and I standing around in the pissing rain massaging his throat in an effort to get the blockage cleared. By the time we managed, we were soaked to the skin.
Home for a shower to warm up, then off to a call out to get a heating system back up and running.
No pictures today because of the grim weather, so a back-lit sunflower fills the gap.
