Leading Out To Sea

A bike ride led to a walk on the beach today. The tide was out providing more interest - rocks, sand patterns, pebbles, grasses, leading lines, distant islands, green seaweed and even a donkey.

I liked the stratified rocks in this image leading out to sea to the islands, even though there's nothing going on in the sky. I used the white rock as a contrasting element to anchor the image. Could perhaps have used more space around it.

Taken handheld, because I couldn't carry a tripod easily on a bike, but I enjoyed the freedom it gave. Need a better system for carrying the camera when wearing a backpack.
