Brugge

Off to Brugge for the day. It was a bit of a flop. It rained & rained & rained & the wind blew & it rained & it was cold & it rained. Lovely city though. We'll be back.

The plan was to walk the 2 miles to Damme & get the Lamme Goedzak to Brugges, but it rained too hard to walk so we drove to Damme. Good idea. We wouldn't have been able to walk back at the end of the day. The blip was taken from the Lamme Goedzak towards Bruges. It shows the greyness of the day.

It was about 40 minutes walk (the way we walked) from where the boat dropped us to the Markt. It was far & it rained. We walked around a bit, had waffles & had C's glasses fixed. It was too cold & unpleasant to do a sightseeing boat or horse cart trip.

Back in Damme we had a lovely meal at De Smisse (I think). C had a whole pork fillet with baked apple & salad. I had a big staeak with salad & we had a bucket full of fries between us.
