London Calling
My nephew has spent the weekend in the Lakes, doing a bit of hillwalking with a friend. As said friend lives in Chester and my nephew lives in London, he decided the best option was to get a train back from Oxenholme. His friend duly dropped him off at our house so he could say “hi” and then I took him to the station to get his train. Which, needless to say, was running late. Only about ten minutes late though, which is as good as “on time” as far as Avanti are concerned!
It was actually quite nice standing on the platform and just taking ten minutes out for a chat, because it’s been a full on day otherwise. I went to Barrow this morning to see Stu and try and sort out the monitor issues I had on Sunday night. We went to R & T Music, who came up with a deal which should solve the problem and will just be a straight swap for my old amp, so no financial outlay involved.
And as soon as I was back from dropping my nephew off, it was time to head down to Lancaster to film some promo videos for the play. Quite fun, and a chance to play with my character’s back story.
I’m hoping for a less frenetic day tomorrow, though I have a feeling it’s not going to happen. I already have gym, library, coffee and shopping pencilled in before lunch…
