Walk at Stanton Drew 2
There were so many lovely things to see on our walk that I’m spreading them across 2 days. My visitor went back to London today, and I spent much of the rest of the day doing very dull chores, and washing and so on. In the evening I went to the cinema to see Mr Hamilton’s List; a bit sub Austen-y, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.
The main blip is the round house on the outskirts of the village. I especially like the fighting hares on the roof. It was taken through the windscreen of a moving car, so not the best. I don’t know how the inhabitants manage, as you can’t stop a car near the house, let alone park. It’s surrounded by three roads, one very busy. A lovely looking place though. The first and second extras are of sitting by, and then walking by the river Chew. Such a lot of birdsong too.
