Walk at Stanton Drew

The main reason was to see the standing stones, but there were lots of other lovely things to see. After you’ve looked at the standing stones, the walk takes you through farmland and alongside the river Chew. I liked the silhouette of the not quite dead oak on a field boundary. The first extra shows the fantastic sky late morning. And the second extra is a view of some of the standing stones. The great circle  is bigger in diameter than Stonehenge.  But they are less dramatic, because more worn.
