Lichen and rope. Lichen is amazing. It seems to grow on anything and everything. I love the fact that as the rope disintegrates, the lichen thrives.

This is actually part on a very old creel. When I was taking its picture I found the rest of it buried in the grass under my knees! Goodness knows how many years it has been there . . .
