Taff Trail

A lovely sunny Bank Holiday Monday, we decided on a cycle ride from Caste Coch, Tongwynlais, Nr Cardiff (South Wales UK) along the Taff Trail to visit my dad in Penarth.

The photo' shows Castle Coch (Red Castle in Welsh) and is also known as the 'fairy tale' castle that overlooks Cardiff towards the Bristol Channel. The present castle dates from about 1868AD but built on the foundations of a 13th century castle.

After a cuppa and good chat at my dads we continued on our bikes across Cardiff Bay Barrage, through Cardiff town centre, and back to the start, about 20 miles. Very busy everywhere and an enjoyable day.
