Year 2 Day 159 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 263 days ago.  UK open. Overseas travel with restrictions.

Late morning we travelled to Godalming, Surrey, to visit son Nathan and family. He'd kindly done a bar-b-cue (a habit picked up when he lived in Australia) which was fab. The extra shows him in action. Granddaughter Sofia was happy with some chocolate cake and you can see the smile on her face as she enjoyed making a mess!

Early evening we headed indoors to watch a true movie about the tsunami, Dec 26 2004. We had a lucky escape that Christmas when we could not get connecting flights between two Maldives Islands and so went to Cuba instead. We were still affected but the island we were due to be on was badly hit.  A lucky escape!

We're staying in a local hotel and will meet them tomorrow morning.
