Gruffalo?

Today we had a walk across the Meadows to visit the Book Festival, which is in the Art College. And it’s a really good venue - I didn’t really like where it was in Charlotte Square, as you could hear traffic in some of the tents. 

But what a good set up there - in a grassy quad, with various tented and covered areas, lots of seating and tables, a bar, a cafe, and a giant screen to watch some of the talks and interviews in the main theatre. There was one such event going on at the time, with three authors being interviewed and doing readings. I did check online who they were but hadn’t heard of them. Apparently The Gruffalo was in another tent at an event. I would have liked to have seen him!

It was a gorgeous day, and the overflowing rubbish bins were cooking and festering nicely… YUCK!

Watched more cricket when I came home. I love that it’s on every day. I even like all the interviews and technical chat before the game. And I liked all the shadows in this shot.
