Azure

A boat trip to an island provided today's adventure. Covered in bracken with trails, cliffs with dramatic sea views down to inaccessible beaches and clear azure blue water which could be Mediterranean. 

Shooting hand held to save weight, although not an issue in the midday sun. More of a problem are the dark shadows. Would love to photograph in better light, but the last ferry is 4:30.

The island is also preserved for wildlife. Unfortunately no puffins at this time of year, which would have been a treat. Apparently they burrow like rabbits and are threatened because of a rat problem. I twisted my ankle more than once looking the other way and stepping into a burrow.
