Access to gp

There’s a big hoohaa in Shrewsbury, where a proposal to amalgamate 5 surgeries into one hub far away has been mooted. I can walk in 10, cycle in 5 to my current place, I CAN cycle to the new site, if I’m well, if not it’ll be two busses or a taxi.
And, what pisses me off is the dr leading the group proposing it, her practice is not joining, says it all. Oh, and government and local pcp money isn’t forthcoming for upgrades, but there’s a big grant for the new place. Which I’m told will charge rent for various groups to use, such as community midwives.
