Steppers

The last of my eight day work run....and straight out after that to meet a pal in town for Markus Birdman at The Banshee. Except Markus has ended his run early it turns out - the heart surgery he was waiting for suddenly became available so, yeah, he put that ahead of entertaining punters on the free fringe, priorities an' that. So we watched Kate Smurthwaite perform her very likeable show 'The Last Mayor Of Fihalholi' from last year in his place instead  seeing as we were there anywhere and had just bought drinks and, really, it would kind of been a bit rude if we'd turned her down.

A drink in George Square gardens en route to Ventoux, a pub that we always seem to end up at or go to when the two of us are out. The location halfway between town and our neighbourhoods, (plus close proximity to the bus stop should we need it!) helps but we do like the place - it's not horrible and scuzzy, nor is it chic and bland. Character, plus the crowd there, well it's certainly mixed for sure.
