Fitting it all in...

So much and so little fit in a suitcase. The tangible things: a blowdryer, multiple shoes for unpredictable spring weather in NY, gifts from other trips ready to be delivered, pajama pants, and favorite t-shirts. Then the intangible: excitement for the familiar hugs and kisses awaiting, hope for little jet lag, wonder about whether or not coming back will be hard, the question of where "home" is.

Tangible or otherwise, zipped up, locked, and left out of my hands for at least nine hours once checked!
