Sam got to see his friend again. Life is good. Tomorrow he gets acupuncture. I know it works because dogs don't have placebo effects. 

Another awesome thing about the timing of the Iceland trip is that we miss the moon and therefore are more likely to see the Milky Way. YES. And Iceland is mostly rural and therefore there is a lot of dark sky in Iceland. 

And the aurora borealis. 

Solar power is booming in Germany. Germany had a 22% increase in the installation of solar systems, photovoltaic panels and solar heating systems. 

Germany has made a green hydrogen deal with Canada. Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced with renewable energy, in Canada's case wind farms. They signed a five-year deal. Hydrogen can be used instead of gas. 

A 15-year-old Ukrainian boy, Andrii Pokrasa, is being hailed as a hero and being called "drone boy." When Russia invaded he posted that he had a drone. He was asked to spy on advancing Russian vehicles. They didn't know he was 15. He tracked them and posted their location. His friends initially didn't believe him - until he was on TV. 


Putin has assumed that western support for Ukraine would fade. Today, on Ukraine Independence Day, the US announced another $3 billion in aid, the largest single military aid package for Ukraine since Russia invaded. It is intended to show Putin that we are supporting Ukraine for the long haul. 


A $75 million superyacht has been auctioned. It used to belong to a Russian steel oligarch.
