Birker Fell

Good memories are made with good people, a joy to be adventuring with FWG again. 

Waking to wet and glowering cloud shrouding the high hills after a wild night some looking at the map and a change of plan seemed like a good idea.

Over to Birker Fell, an area that always leaves me wanting to spend more time there. Line of sight to the coast offered both expansive views and drier rock so we explored some little outcrops and the upland wetland which seemed alive with dragonflies.  We stopped a whiles at Fox Bield which is an amazingly placed pile of fallen rock making a little island above the Bog myrtle and asphodel. Food for the soul.
