Make-do And Mend

Finally ordered a new timer for the toaster, all very straightforward once the historical layers of toast crumbs were removed from all the innards.

I am sure I put the new one back the same way up as the old one came out but once it was all back together the knob was on upside down, so I had to undo all the screws and turn the timer upside down. I did wonder if somehow the spindle could be adjusted but felt that might be a step too far .

I may have to rescind the House Rule that the toaster must never be left alone when working as it's not a pop up one. Or maybe not....I think it likes the company.
