Bramble Jelly and Aretha

It rained nearly all day today-hurrah!

This evening I made bramble jelly from the black berries we picked yesterday, while listening to the BBC Prom concert  on Radio 3. Tonight it was a tribute to Aretha Franklin with Jules Buckley conducting  his  new ensemble and brilliant singer- songwriter, Shelea belting out the tunes. It proved the  perfect accompaniment to standing at the stove, stirring  a pot of boiling blackberries!
