Sandy Beach Mountain High*

Having driven for two days across France I arrived on the beautiful Ile De Ré this afternoon. Checking into the hotel took some time after which I hot footed it down to the beach to meet up with the family.

After a refreshing half hour of wave jumping I helped do some castle digging. All very satisfying. Ophelia was in her element walking along the ramparts we had only just constructed.

A day rounded off with a shellfish supper. Delicious and great to eat a few oysters again.
