The peoples' palace

Inspired by Jules and Jim's Joy Ride podcast I popped along to Gants Hill tube station this morning for a look. The Joyride podcast which I was listening to while I was pottering around tidying up the bomb site after the departure of the little ones (see yesterday's Blip) referred to the station as being designed in the style of a Moscow Underground station. It is indeed very impressive. It's another Charles Holden station in the series visited last week by Hilary.
