Battenberg cake....

.....with a few chocolate sprinkles.

Coastal villages often have cottages with brightly coloured walls and I think they look delightful.  It occured to me that this pink and white one I noticed today ressembles half a slice of Battenberg cake.  The little wall is sprinkled with dried up ivy spores - like chocolate sprinkles. The week has kicked off on a fanciful note.  (See the cottage in extra.)

However, I am doing some serious packing this afternoon as we head off tonight to the ferry port in Portsmouth to sail to Santander. Tomorrow will be all at sea!
