Da Paps o Jura

A cloudy morning turned into a sunny day, warm and the winds eased.

Up early, Rachel had the most fantastic breakfast waiting for me when I came down from my room.  Packed up my things, said my goodbyes to Rachel and Alastair, I'll definitely stay there again.  My last morning to explore the isle.  I headed to Finlaggan, then throughout the north east coast, visiting the Bunnahabhain and Ardnahoe distilleries.  I was working in the Islay Airport in the afternoon, and checked myself in for the flight to Glasgow.  It was great to meet the Islay Loganair team and the HIAL team, hope to see them again.  A night in Glasgow before heading home, and met niece Eve and girlfriend Millie.  Some food and drinks, before an early night.

That few days in Islay have gone in a flash, but I'm so grateful I got the opportunity to head here with work for a few days.  It's given me a taste for the isle, and I definitely want to come back for a visit again, so much more to see and do.  Like many places across the isle, the scenery is stunning.  This is looking across the Sound of Islay, with the Paps of Jura in the distance, and Heatherhouse in foreground, Islay.
