Stewkey blues

Set off early to avoid the worst of the heat but it was still sweltering.
Arrived, pitched my tent and discovered a whole new river delta ... of sweat down my back, called in on M&R and then headed on to see my uncle, cousin and husband staying at Stiffkey (the only place they could find to book). Dinner at the Red Lion and then a late drive back Calling in to Overy on my way. I recognised the shapes of some familiar figures in the dark ... Peter and Mel were just back from a late bit of boating on the high tide. Unfortunately, they had sad news about their daughter’s husband’s health.
