Commonwealth Games Hockey!

First people into the hockey centre this morning, not at all eager! But I had heard awful things about security so wasn't taking any chances.

We watched four games, two women's matches in the morning (it properly rained during the first match) and two men's in the afternoon. The sun came out properly by lunchtime and it got awfully hot. Will was feeling it by the time we were watching Wales v Ghana, but managed to stay the course.

Between the sessions we had to leave the venue and go back through security. Will persuaded me to buy him a pizza for lunch (there's a theme on his favourite food is there not!) and then he took part in a race to put on keeper kit which he won and he met Amy Tennant who was one of the England Keepers in the team that won bronze at the last Commonwealth's in the Gold Coast.
