Petworth in bloom

A weekend of pre prep for next weekend’s party.  V carried on clearing the barn, i ran errands and watered the garden and did various things around the house.  I went into Petworth, the honey pot beauty spot with the grand house and lots of antique shops, to try  and find a top for Mum to wear to her party.  I found one that I think would look lovely but will have to try it on her tomorrow.  Inevitably I bought a party dress for me ! 

Petworth is ‘in bloom’ and there were flowers everywhere.  This is a rather lovely cascade of small petunias outside a particularly lovely antique shop. 

Dinner at David and Nancy’s in West Meon, very nice sitting in the garden drinking a wonderful if odd cloudy rose Prosecco…and then eating a fine chicken supper.
