Strange creations

A tour of the Venetian islands today took us to Murano, Burano and Torcello. This was one of the creations at a small gallery on Murano. Made up of glass flowers, it appears to be in the style of a Christmas tree. There were some pretty items to buy on Murano, but others were very large and garish. Thankfully we had done the trip by ourselves using vaporetto passes, rather than going on an organised tour where joining the seemingly endless queues to visit the glass factory was a necessity. We were able to bypass the factory, see what we wanted to see, and then move on to the next island at our own pace.
