"Honey, the ice is here"
It's 28c, muggy as hell, and I've just seen a dump truck deliver its load of ice at the top of the street.
"How long's that gonna last?"
Well, it turns out , long enough.
They used the ice to spread at the side of the pathways to make it look like they'd been shovelled.
For anyone who's interested, the extras are a few of the many snaps I grabbed.
Thinking about it in retrospect, I have never seen so many people working so hard without an obvious plan. And I mean more than a hundred people.
Back and forth, back and forth they went, always in a hurry, and most times, the "back" was carrying the same thing they took "forth"
They did do the "set up" on our house, I don't know why because it was never even close to being in frame.
The big white ball in the sky, (in extras), intrigued me. It's a ballon with a big battery powered light inside. They told me it's much cheaper and quieter than using a jib or a crane to provide overhead lighting.
Ah well, that was almost my 16 minutes of fame.
