Spontaneous

A long day today. I left for work not much after 7am. I left Katie practising. I had the final day of holiday club to set up for and work to do before it. Katie joined us about 930. Holiday club was a busy but brilliant morning. The teens have been amazing this week at getting stuck in, seeing what needs doing without being asked. They've been our best set of teen helpers that we've had and they're the youngest that we've had. There was lots to do after and they did some of the helping but after an hour or so, Emma took K, G & L to a community event we'd bought a ticket for. Itcwas a big local bouncy castle hire company who'd rented the rugby field and had all of their hires out for people to play on. Slides, castles, inflatable courses. They had fun but katie said they were all getting bullied because they had Church tshirts on and some of the kids from G&L school were particularly unkind. 

When they left, the three of them went back to Emmas house and played in the garden, watched a movie. Ruth dropped Katie back to me about 515. Katie asked for some tes that we didn't have so I nipped to the shop. On the way home, I decided we would go to the beach. I got back in the house and said to Katie "get your clothes back on!" she later told me she was sure that would mean I had decided a beach trip was needed. She was of course right. 

We called friends up to invite them to join us and Mary decided she would like to come too. Our spontaneous decision ended up being extremely lovely. The sunset was beautiful. The Katie was on fine, crazy self, form. The company was gorgeous. It was lovely. A couple of extras.
