Punch drunk

Yay!  The plumber returned today and installed another pump...........the gist of it was the 'pump of all pumps' he'd recommended and had attempted to install earlier in the week has been 'upgraded' making it now more difficult to install and more fussy about how it's installed.  D the plumber called and gave the company grief for the changes then did some research to find a suitable replacement.  He came up with a cheaper model manufactured by a company he'd earlier said he wouldn't use because the internal workings were a bit lightweight.  It seems many local plumbing supply companies are now recommending this one and it turns out it also seems to have had an upgrade - it's now manufactured with components equivalent to the original choice pump.  Confused?  I was too!  Bottom line, I accepted D's recommendation and he spent 2 hours this morning fitting it.  Easy peasy!  He seems to be a tradie who has a lot of integrity - pretty sure I'll use him again if I need any more water works fixits doing.

The good news is that the pump seems to be working well with noticeable but not extreme improvement in hot water pressure.  At the end of the day, that's exactly what I wanted so all is good :)

It's rained on and off again today and forecasters tell us that there is lots more still to come tonight.  The town is a mess :'(

The birds still need food though so a good photo opportunity.
