Piggy frolicks

A fine day out with friends at Waltham Abbey, spoilt at the end of the day, as it inevitably is, by incompetent and inept traffic management of overnight roadworks on the M25 on the approach to the Dartford Crossing.

At 10.30pm and with no warning from matrix signs, we hit a jam caused by 4 lanes coming down to one leading to queuing for more than 20 minutes. I composed and sent another vitriolic email to Highways England. And why is it that the lanes that are closed always moved quicker than ours?

We travelled to the National Trust property at Wimpole Estate near Cambridge. We had lunch then visited the house and then Home Farm where many pigs were in evident, none more so than these two boars who were engaged in a bout of friendly banter. There were cows, goats, sheep and other animals all raised in sustainable conditions.
