Beach day

Breakfast was more of yesterday’s meal but with chicken!
Nir took us to the beach at 11am. We found a good tree for shade and where mom could lean against. We all got into the water. We even managed to get mom in! Just up to her knees but that’ll do. :)
Audrey, Doug and I then went in and waded round the bay a way. Audrey turned back after a while so mom would not be on her own too long. Doug and I coni going a little further out. Both of us saw this flat thing. He thought it was a tire! I thought it was a flat smooth stone. Both of us reached our foot out to step on it. Doug slightly ahead of me. When all of a sudden it moved! Instantly I curled into a little ball keeping my legs away from it as it swam under me. Then I realised it was a ray!!! It was huge! He swam round us and back to his original spot. That was obviously where he was comf! He seemed unbothered by us being around and happy for our ‘photo shoot’ moment. After a while he’s obviously got fed up and flapped to get the sand over him again.
We carried on to The Beach Club to see if they did anything gluten-free. Non! Just salad.
We walked back along the sand to mom and Audrey. A bite to eat (cause we’d packed a lunch) then Doug and I went back in the water. Audrey saw some small blue fish around the coral so we went looking. I ended up getting my mask. Wow! How clear. It’s so funny how you can’t get under water for any length of time. I saw yellow stripy fish, sea cucumbers , pufferwfish, aqua blue fish, clear fish, some with a blue and yellow diamond on their back and ….another ray. I swam with him some way. He was a different kind. He had a beak type nose and his tail seemed to be ‘glued’ onto his back!
It was utterly amazing ….and I didn’t have to pay for it! (Like on a tour!)
Nir picked us up at 4pm.
It was only later that night that I realised I’d burnt my back real bad. I was so annoyed with myself. The one thing I didn’t want to do and I did it! :(
And….Audrey and I are COVERED in bites! :(
Dinner…more of the same. Mom went to bed and I went up to Audrey and Doug’s for sunset again. But this time we were treated to Polynesian drumming. It started as the sun started going down and continued well into the dark. It was fantastic. Mom had to call and ask what the ‘racket’ was! Hehe!
I showered at Aud n Doug’s. Wow that shower was SOOOOO good! It was just like a hose pipe pouring out of the girls vase!
When I got back down to my house, mom had locked me out! Thankfully I knew where the key was and she hadn’t used it. She thought I was staying up there the night!
