In the Tree Tops
This afternoon we went with Anna, Poppy and Arlo to this place in Airedale Park walking on wires in the tree tops. Frank and I watched from below for a while with Bella but it was quite cold so we went back to the car after I took some photos.
When we came home it started raining but didn’t last very long - just enough to soak the garden.
I went out and dead headed the roses as they are starting to bloom again.
Dead heading really extends the blooming period.

Dead Heading
The glorious roses
Pink, white and red
Have withered now
So ‘Off with their heads!’
But give them time
Some sun and some rain
And just watch them
They’ll soon bloom again.
It’s Sue’s birthday today so I phoned her and we had a nice chat. Her card and present arrived today - good timing.
We had a Scottish tea tonight - Haggis, neeps and tatties (vegan of course)
with conversation round the table about Scotland, England and the potential referendum. Anna was explaining to Tonya and Yurii why Scotland should have independence and they found it interesting but their feelings are that countries should stay united. Maybe because of their own country’s history.
Sabrina, John and the girls arrived home from Spain today to a very wet Glasgow airport. They are happy to be home and Amelia and Lucy are excited about going back to School tomorrow.
We will have to go and see them soon, it feels like ages since we saw them.
Hope you’ve all had a good day.
Goodnight ;-)X
