A day of two halves; the van was duly returned at the crack of dawn; and I was back to get Alex up and kitted out for the final pre season warm up game at Inverkeithing. He got picked up; I cycled over and made it in plenty of time for kick off, through the haar and sunshine.
A game that could've gone either way ended in a narrow 5-4 defeat; Alex still looked rusty - hardly susprising as he's only really played a couple of times this month.
Then I sprinted homewards to get lunch on.
An afternoon at a slightly slower pace; with the washing mountain from the holidays set about. And some supplies (coco pops and milk) were got before the thunder set in. Although I stepped out of Morrison's and there was no rain - but you could tell it was imminent. Within 30 seconds the first drop slattered onto my head and a further 30 seconds later, it was tipping down.
Tom had thankfully managed to get off his paddle board and was at the bus stop when the rain hit; so Alex and I set about watching EFL and SPL highlights on TV whilst burgers were cooked / consumed.
The unfortunate lad who got caught in the rain; taken from the bedroom window
