Weird wet stuff

Two highlights today – 1. A lovely visit with my favourite cousin. She did most of the talking as usual, but it was fascinating stuff with lots of reminiscing about her parents and mine. 2. The sky got darker and darker as the visit was coming to an end. The cousin said 'that sounds like rain' and she sure was right. It was light enough as I got into the car but when I came out of the SuperValu on the way home I was greeted with a downpour. It didn't last long, but it was a very unusual sight after the extended dry spell and blue sky and soaring temperatures.

It was really three highlights – 3. I left the cousin's with a generous wedge of her gorgeous freshly-baked lemon drizzle cake: yummy.
