Coffee at Elmpark Green
We had coffee at one of the coffee places in Elmpark Green a few weeks ago. To day, we'd arranged to meet a mutual friend (well, I worked with him on the print and production end of a series of video memoirs he was producing and he's also the brother of Carl's godmother) and we decided to go to The Art of Coffee this time.
I've long admired the architecture of the what is now known as Elmpark Green, near Merrion Gates. It's adventurous and striking, and has a real feeling of community about it. It's a mix of office and residential and is well provided with open spaces between the various blocks. We sat at a bench in the sunshine right beside the coffee shop and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Alec was especially impressed since he hadn't known about either the development or the public spaces within it.
