Half-a-canary
More socialising today. One of Sis's stepsons and his wife are over from the States. The four of us went out to The Bush for lunch, a much-loved pub on the River Itchen just east of Winchester. Afterwards I asked to be dropped off in town and then walked home through the park, where to my surprise I met this birdy (yellowhammer, presumably) looking for all the world like a cross between a canary and a sparrow!
If you'll forgive me, I'm turning my comments off at least for today as my hands are bad. Truth to tell, using my long lens my doesn't do them much good. I will, of course, be looking at all your shots and sprinkling stars and hearts as usual. And for those of you who enjoy blipping wildflowers, a reminder that WFW22_19 is now over and results will be in my journal tomorrow hopefully. Currently we're onto WFW22_20 until midnight Saturday 20th.
Happy Monday evening/Tuesday morning xx
Oops, just heard some thunder at last - but will we get any rain?
