Sunday: Quayside

It started off chilly at the coast but ended up being a glorious day.  It’s years since I’ve been to the Quayside and K has never been so we met up with my aunt and uncle at Grey’s Monument and went for a good long walk.  

We headed down to the Quayside to see all the food stalls and walked along to Ouseburn where we had lunch at ‘The Tyne Pub’.  We walked back to town along the Ouse Burn which was pretty dried up (see extra).  It’s been an excellent day and it’s been good to get exploring a bit.  Normally we’re on such a tight schedule here we don’t get a chance.
