Peasholm Park
We spent most of the day on the beach at North Bay in Scarborough but there was quite a sea mist that covered the castle headland when we arrived. By mid morning it was covering the whole beach. It was really refreshing after all the stupidly hot weather we’ve experienced this summer.
By lunchtime the tide was out and, when we walked down to find the sea in the fog, it was quite a strange experience. Fog in every direction, muffling out all the sounds from the shore and you couldn’t see the promenade at all.
Later on, after lots of sandy games on the beach, N’s brother and his wife headed off back home to Harrogate and we packed the beach stuff into the car and went for a walk around Peasholm Park.
N and I went on the ancient water chute over the other side near the theatre (got soaked but it was good fun) before a cup of tea and back to our holiday cottage in Scalby.
A fun day. N’s brother really brings out L’s giggly side... she’s exhausted and happy!
